What's New

New arrangements for 2006 season onwards:

To give you the maximum learning experience, and to give us a chance of booking our sites with some certainty, we would like to arrange these vital days differently.

So, if you are interested in improving your skills and safety please just email Martin stating simply your prefered site - (WEST NORFOLK or SAFFRON WALDEN, ESSEX) - and from now on we will gather enough participants together and THEN arrange a date to suit everyone! For a printable Information Sheet about our Advanced Machine Skills Courses click here.

In the meantime we hope you never hear these words:

“Sorry mate, didn’t see you!”

It wasn’t your fault – so that’s ok then - some twit pulled out in front of you!  But wouldn’t you prefer not to be laid up with multiple injuries and a smashed bike?

Ok.  This may not have happened to you yet (or maybe it has!); but whatever the perceived cause of motorcycle accidents may be, or who’s to blame, we know that crashes happen because of three main problem areas.
  1. Braking Skills.
    • How would you ride if your bike had no brakes?
    • What if there were a major fault limiting your brakes to only 30% efficiency?
    • What if the major fault were you?  What if you only know how to use 30% of what you’ve got?

  2. Swerving (avoidance) Skills.
    • How would you ride if your handlebars couldn't turn?
    • How would you swerve if your bike couldn’t lean?
    • What if you haven't explored what this means; what if positive use of the handlebars is a mystery?

  3. Cornering Skills.
    • When you approach a bend do you think “oh goody!” or “oh sh*t!”?
    • How aware are you of the use of counter-steering in your riding?
    • We are all human; we make mistakes.  The perfect ride is still waiting to be ridden.
How will you cope when you get it wrong?
