| Hi Martin
After another day at cadwell yesterday (9.9.08) with you and your team. I wanted to say thanks for another superbly run, safe, fun and informative track experience with first class instruction from Chris and Crispin. I cannot
rate the quality of your days highly enough and prattle on about to anyone who will listen. Despite the wet weather I enjoyed every session and not once felt under pressure or threatened by track 'muppets' who thankfully
go elsewhere. The instructors guidance in these conditions was top notch and like all good biking days, taught me something new that I will use in my riding.
Thanks again to all of you.

I am sure you will be glad to hear that Cadwell was excellent I had an
absolute blast. Weather helped as riding up the previous day was a
delight very sunny and warm. The track day was warm with sunny spells
which was perfect.
It was a complete eye opener for me and just what I wanted to find out
what the bike could do and more importantly with me on it. I put myself
in group C3 which on reflection was to low but I had nothing to gauge it
on. Next time I think B3 would be better. It made no real difference
until the afternoon when I was constantly overtaking. It was also good
to hang around and talk bikes which is difficult for me generally as my
mates don’t ride and therefore don’t understand the passion.
When I am recommending it I would fully endorse what you said and is
discussed on the website e.g. Safe but fast, great instruction, great
venue and normal bikers (no track day hero’s). The ride home was superb
although I was tired the flow that I had achieved on track passed over
to my road riding.
Thanks again for recommending it and I will be doing it again maybe
toward the end of the summer.
Kind regards
Ian

Hi Mart,
Well where do I start..........??? WE ALL HAD A BLOODY FANTASTIC DAY !!
Its a shame it was the last one of the year but on the other hand what a way to finish this year off.
I really can not thank you enough for this years HRT events at Cadwell & because of this I have managed to get about an hours work done to day as every one in our group has had to pop in & phone me to express what a great time they had yesterday. Carols riding has improved no end this year & Nigel is now quicker than me round Cadwell ( lol ) & it is only down to your events & the instructors you employ.
Please pass on the ringjunkies thanks to all of them & I am sorry to say they will have to put up with us lot & more in 2008.
I was going to have a chat with you yesterday but the time seem to go very quick & missed you before we left. I will of course continue to advertise the HRT days for you but wondered if you wanted to set something up so when a customer is in the shop I can get them to commit to the day there & then for you. Give it some thought if you wish & please don't think I am trying to make a buck off the HRT days as this is not the case & if we can help fill the places for you we will.
You have let us enjoy a group discount this year & Maybe that can continue in 2008.
Many thanks
Steve & Carol + all the ringjunkies

Thank you very much to John, your team and Yourself.
Even after 10 days of training with you guys I always ask for more as you always improve our riding.
Thank you very much again and see you soon.

Hi Martin,
apologies for the shortness of this Email - My AOL email service just killed (timed me out) the long email I was three quarters of the way through writing to you!
I was just going to say a coulpe of things mostly that I'd enjoyed the day! And some of the inventive ways we you presented the tasks. The Team you have are a great contrasting pair of characters!
..
And that I had a very good physical work-out, along with the introduction to new motorcycling skills!
Slow circles, cones, swerving and Cones were all great! And I'd liked to have a few more circuits of the Go-Kart track, great fun!
Although that far left hand corner of the track I always took very carefully (grass, rubble, speed and sharp right hander making me so).
I also wanted to ask you to clarify a few of the tasks I didn't quite master!
Snatch & Buff – OK, roll up to about 30/40mph, disengage clutch, snatch/grab a handful-then release instantly!
---- Result is Buff from front wheel!
Is that correct?
Front Brake Locking - OK, roll up to about 30/40mph, disengage clutch, progressively grab a handful- release when once front has locked! ---- Result is Bigger Buff from front wheel, and you’ve figured out the point at which you can lock the front wheel and ride on! Or you’re getting to know how your Brakes can be used!!
Is that correct?

Comments: Martin, now then you bugger you completely ignored the last one I sent telling you how good the May jobbie at Cadwell was so Ive no reason to suspect you'll do anything different with this one! Im jon ryden, thick Lincolnshire bike plod, you'll maybe remember me slicing around Cadwell on a variety of ill concieved and vastly varying lines on the silver 'police'
triumph 1050 with your Richard dawdling along behind with one hand on the bars. Anyway once again a great night, nothing but positive feedback from the punters I spoke to. I dont know if you will alude to this but I run the BikeSafe scheme here in Lincoln and after doing it week in and week out with a similar format that i can do with my eyes shut I lose sight of whether its any good or not so its only when the punters ring me and tell me it was a great day or send a glowing letter or e~mail raving about it that I think "yes its all worthwhile". The rest of the time I often wonder if its all worth the effort. So if thats the same as you then hear this; Its a brilliant thing that you are in charge of, your staff are the best and were so fresh during the evening noone would have suspected that theyd done a full day already and Richard is a credit to you and your missus.

Dear Martin & Richard,
I am planning to produce a favourable article for the Essex Advanced Motorcyclists Group's bi-monthly newsletter, outlining the very enjoyable day that I attended with you at the Carver Barracks Airfield and wondered whether you might have one or two 'action' pictures that could be printed to accompany the article (I noticed that Richard was using a camcorder a couple of times - but I am not sure if it is possible to create 'still' images from this?).
Thank you in anticipation of your help.
Best regards,

Re: Sunday 09/09/07 at Carver Barracks/the Air Field...
Hi,
thanks again, it was a good day...!
I Would have liked to put my name down on the list for October, sounds like a great day!
But .. funds and available time prevent me this time! As I've got a few holidays booked in the coming months that will drain the bank a/c!
But I'll be keeping an eye out for dates next year, thats for sure!
Until then, drive safe..
And I'll be seeing you! ... Gary..

Hi Guys
Thought I'd drop you a line of thanks, the rainy day at the airfield in August did me the world of good in restoring confidence - never an easy task. I was a trifle sceptical prior to arrival; but it paid off.
Since that day I have completed a trip of 2850 miles around France and into Switzerland on the twistyest minor roads we could identify. I'd hate to have counted the corners. All went very well and I am happy to say I'm back to the level of confidence I previously had on hair pin mountain passes. Total enjoyment!
Many thanks

Dear Martin,
My partner (Michael Whitaker) attended a recent training day you held at Cadwell Park on the 30th August ‘07, he was extremely happy with the experience especially the lesson on braking, I was wondering what you would recommend as the next step or course he should take? He rides an R1 which he has owned for about a year, although is still very caution of the power and handling of this bike, previous to this he had a CBR600F which he had for several years. I have looked on your website and see you have several courses on offer being a novice myself I’m got sure what I should book him onto next? Any advice would be extremely helpful.
Many thanks Nicola

I brought with me 3 of my fellow bikers, for the bike safe on thursday 30th aug.
They gained a great deal from the evening sesion, understanding there bikes and capabilities.
We all enjoyed the course, and would do it again.
I would be interested in when you will be doing this course again so as that i can bring more of my fellow bikers,
It has given them more confidence, and i would like you to pass on our thanks to the organizers.
And thank you for reserving the places for us.

The aim was to give my son confidence with his bike and to improve his riding.
Comparing the ride to and from Cadwell. There was a major improvement on the way home. Hopefully we can now build on this.
Many thanks to you and the team.

Hi, I attended the Cadwell day on the 15th May (A5 group...the Tuono group) and just wanted to let you know that I had a fantastic day!
(I was the on the red Tuono that stayed out in the final wet session
with the track pretty much to myself!)
My thanks to the instructors and the organisers and the under worked marshals for a great day! I was at Croft the day before with Hottrax and there were 4, yes FOUR red flags due to over eager trackday wannabes, you know the type!
Cheers

PS Any chance of doing Brands Hatch??

Hi Martin,
Many thanks for the track experience yesterday, I'd heard great things about your approach to track skills, and although I was extremely anxious having been put into group A5 despite never riding Cadwell's full circuit - I rode the short circuit back in 1999 for a very short ducati experience day as my very first track day - and I've never had HRT training.
However, the instructors were sympathetic and helpful, and my confidence throughout the day grew. I'm off to book up some more track days!
I've spoken to colleagues in the C group who felt they have learned much from you teaching methods.
Phil.

Feedback HRT Cadwell Park
Hi Martin,
I just wanted to pass on a big THANK YOU for organising the HRT Rider Training (IAM) 15th August. We had an absolutely fantastic day. Everything was very well and sensibly organised which allowed me to learn a lot and to shake off some "post-accident" anxiety. Already on the trip back we realised how much more at ease and smoother our riding was.
It must have been a lot of work to organise this entire event and to guarantee for everyone to make the most out of the (too short) day. Your effort is very much appreciated.
Hope to participate again in 2007.
Please do keep me updated about other HRT events
Cheers Martin,
tim
PS I received the track photos today which makes this day even more memorable.

Cadwell Park Better Riding Day - Tuesday 15th August 2006
Hi Mart,
Just got back home to Falmouth after joining you at Cadwell Park earlier in the week!
This message comes better late than never, but I just wanted to thank you and all your team for organising such a great day for us last Tuesday!
In particular I’d like to thank Andy and Phil who looked after the mini-group (B2) that I was in and who both encouraged me to stay in this group despite my fears that it was too fast for me!
Special thanks to Philip who took me out, on a one-to-one basis, for the very last session of the day; for me this was definitely the best, fastest and most enjoyable run of the entire event and gave me the confidence I had lacked earlier! Please pass on my personal thanks to Phil for his patience and perseverance!
Kind regards,
Keith Wetherell
P.S. The photos taken by Keith Martin are great!!!!

riders.
Thanks to all concerned for which must have been a hard to organise day. We look forward to the next one!

A HUGE THANK YOU. Cadwell 11 July 2006
Team, what can I say but a HUGE thank you to ALL for making our day so
special. For Me it was a transformation from 'terrified' (prior to the day)
to totally relaxed (10 % in reserve for safety) and happy and proud with my
learnings. For Chris, he was happy that the day lived up to all you had said
it would at our RoSPA SMART evening. Although not a lot quicker, his
confidence in himself and the bike improved tremendously.
The standard of the instruction was superb, the explanation of each and
every element clear and concise, the feedback was open and honest and
executed in a totally professional manner.
Although one should not pick out any one member from a winning team, David
(trainee HRT instructor) was a great help and guidance to us both.
Many thanks
Elaine (mauve hair and RVF 400)
Chris (banana helmet and Black CBR 600)

Wed 20.09.06
Hi All
Its not often that I take part in an event that is worthy of praise but yesterdays Cadwell Park better riding day was certainly one of them!
I was happy to be placed in the intermediates group but to be honest was not overly optomistic as to the skills I was going to be able to pick up. I was certainly much more than pleasantly surprised.
I have to say that this day has to be one of the best Motorcycling events of this nature that I have ever been on. Apart from thoroughly enjoying the whole day I left with a great deal more confidence on two wheels than when I arrived.
I would like to say a well earned thanks to both Jon and Colin who instructed the group I was in, both of whom managed to transfer their respective skills onto us willing students to great effect.
I Look forward to taking part in another of these days again soon and hopefully progress to the advanced group at some point in the not to distant future.
Many thanks again

CADWELL BETTER RIDING SEPT 19TH 06 GEOFF WOOD GROUP C
Belated thanks for an excellent day. Well organised thoughtful and achieved all that you said it would. Great instructors who took time to explain and lead effectively and a well structured progressive day.
My confidence in my riding has improved greatly and I understand my machine so much more. Went on a Track Day with A N Other organisation at Cadwell today and left at lunchtime very disappointed and scared at what was going on. Please put me on your mailing list for future events I will certainly be re booking if you come to Cadwell again. I told the others who were also leaving early today about your set up!

25/09/06 Advanced Machine Skills
Martin
I really have to thank you mate. I've had an experience using just about all of my acquired skills in riding and narrowly missed a head on.
Picture this:
10.00 am in Yorkshire on the way back from Scotland. Good visibility. Wet road, poor surface. 40 limit. Riding Vera with full luggage, light on and reflective vest. 30 mph or so.
I see the black Range Rover waiting at an acute junction on my left, facing me at about 45 degrees angle. Make eye contact. He seems to see me.
When I reach 4 car lengths from junction driver pulls out straight at me, on to left side of road, angling vaguely towards his side of the road.
Here's where the Martin teaching bit comes in:
Sound my new Nautilus horn (put one on Jo's bike too. Nice.) and start emergency braking.
Front starts to lock on poor and wet surface.
Release brakes, pull clutch and swerve knowing other carriageway clear.
Jo, following, reports I missed the accelerating Range Rover by about a foot, passing on his offside. He finally saw me as I swerved, despite looking right through me. Jo says he looked a little surprised and braked after I had passed.
In all honesty without your training I wouldn't have had a chance, with a closing speed combined of about 50mph.
Had to have a little sit down but physically unhurt.
Thanks again.
Tim.
P.S Will be in touch about some more 121 work soon - trying to get Jo engaged too.

12.05.05 Hi Martin
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the Advanced Machine Skills course on Sunday. And yes, we have learned a lot!
It was hard work ...... but once I got into my head that I didn't have to be perfect, it was easier!
We decided it wasn't a good idea to practice in and out the cones on the A1. What a hard slog riding home on Monday - caught in a couple of light showers but took a real battering from the wind.
Thanks to you all for your hard work and encouragement!
Alison and Roy Adams

12.05.05 Last year I came away feeling frustrated with my performance. I just couldn't seem to put all that excellent advice to good use.
Tried to use the advice in my road riding and being curious to see if I had improved, signed up again for a second crack at this track riding lark.
What a difference a year makes! Even when I got things wrong I felt relaxed and had enough in reserve to get me out of trouble. And as for the advice, excellent again, and this time it made much more sense -probably because I was more relaxed and more able to analyse where I was going wrong.
Seriously thinking about September.
.........now wheres that holiday request form?

Just a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed the HRT Cadwell experience. Although it may not have looked it at times, my riding has significantly improved....bent arms, counter steering , etc. I am still complete rubbish, and the Tiger is a bit heavy, but at least I can now get round corners without having to get off the bike and push it round
Many thanks

Having got home from Cadwell Park and bored the family with tales of
derring do, I thought that I ought to thank you and the instructors for
their time, skill, teaching expertise, and mostly for their patience.    I
have learnt more today about riding than any other day's training that
i've done.    It has been an excellent experience to have the opportunity to
develop my riding and track skills in the (relatively) safe environment
afforded by this day.
Warn the guys that I will be back so they can book holidays!

Just a note to say a big thank you, to you and your team, who were all excellent. Tuesday's training and track time was one of the most enjoyable things i've done in years. Thanks especially to John and Jon our two instructors in the novice group. When Jon asked us if we were ‘plants’, I thought he was being a bit mean, after all it was my first proper track day and personally i thought i wasn't doing bad. But when he told us we were in the wrong group and he would recommend we went out in the afternoon in the fast group, he made my day. A friend, Martin Keefe, suggested a day with you and your team would be more beneficial now i've been riding a few months and have some confidence, i'm glad i took his advice, as i've not been able to wipe the grin off my face yet!
Thanks again

Now I'm back from slugging it out with some lawyers on a work related
negotiation, I've got a couple of minutes to catch up on private e-mails!!!
What can I say???   I think you can expect to see me back at Cadwell again at
some time in the future - the track day last Tuesday was absolutely
fantastic, and in spite of being probably one of the slowest riders out
there, I had a huge grin on my face and felt I'd got so much out of the
experience.   If nothing else, I now know that I can get my pegs down [albeit
by taking a cr*p line ~ ooops!!!] and that the rubber will hold [at least in
the dry, on a decent surface].
Track days don't have to be dangerously crowded by muppet hooligans on
gixers ~ you've definitely got the balance of discipline, safety and "fun"
just right.
Many thanks to you and all the instruction team.
until the next time .....

I'm home nice and safe after a top day on the Advanced Motorcycle Skills
course.   The skills have already been put to good use:   No, not the braking
and swerving, but the slow-speed manoeuvring - just added a bit of sparkle
to do a feet up 180 degree turn in the road ready to park up for the
night.
Mind you, i'm pretty tired (can i say "knackered" in an accolade?).
Right now i'm wondering if I can get a day off work this week to practice
some of the stuff we did today...   Ah well, I can dream.
Hopefully I will see you on one of your events next year.   I still haven't
done your road riding skills course:   Maybe that'll be next.
Cheers, and once again, thanks for a great day.

| Hi Martin
Just wanted to drop you a line on behalf of myself and the lads from Bristol to say a heartfelt thanks for laying on such a worthwhile and successful trackday on Tuesday 25th May 04. I think you've found the perfect format for accommodating both nervous and more accomplished riders in learning to improve their riding skills in a safe environment.
I was a little concerned, by the description of how your trackdays worked, that quicker riders would soon get frustrated and not get much out of it but, although I've already done several trackdays, this was by far and away the best. That's not to say that the ones I've attended previously have been bad, and at some, the level of training and support has been great, but the difference is that yours is so structured an focuses on combining individual elements one by one until your confidence, and subsequently your speed increase. Combined with the 'free' sessions in the afternoon, I personally found this the ideal format.
I'm happily recommending you to all and sundry at work within which there is a substantial group of active bikers (currently in excess of 60) so it could well be I'll try and bring along another group later in the year if I can arrange it. Only down side is, it's such a long way to come!
Anyway, thanks again to you (and all the excellent instructors) and I'll drop you a CD in the post of all the photos we took on the day, once I've had chance to get them all together.
By the way, I received the 'official' photos in the post this morning so even that element of the day turned out to be excellent too....and just as fast!
Kind Regards
Jim.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Tuesday's session at Cadwell Park. I've never ridden as quickly, yet safely before. It's amazing, even now, two days later, people keep asking me why I'm grinning so much!
This is the third Better Riding Day I've attended at Cadwell and they just keep getting better and better. I always learn something new and this time was no exception. I was able to push my riding skills further than ever before, yet I never felt pressured to exceed my own capabilities. Equally, the levels of discipline on the track meant I always felt safe in the group I was riding with.
You level of organisation and the quality and quantity of instructors puts common or garden track days to shame!
Please pass on my thanks to all involved.

Mart,
Just wanted to let you know what a great day I had at Cadwell on Tuesday.
The whole day was brillant apart from the sun burn which I now have on my
cheeks and my neck...
Please pass on my thanks to you're team, all of which I found polite and
very knowledgeable -
the day was great value and has given me more confidence in myself and my
bike which can only be a good thing.
Look forward to see you again in the future (September I think).

Just a quick note to thank you for a great day on
Tuesday. If you can, please pass on my thanks to Andy
and Philip who were great during the morning sessions.
I exceeded every limit I had previously been to on the
bike, and after their input in the morning, it felt
very safe doing so in the afternoon!
Hope to see you all again soon.

Just a quick thank you for such an excellent day at Cadwell on Tuesday.
I am a Senior Observer with Wey Valley Advanced Motorcyclists and this was
my first ever experience of riding on a track.
Naturally, I was a little apprehensive, but was soon put at ease. The
organisation of the day was superb, I felt I had already had my money's
worth by lunchtime!
The amount of time on the track was ample, at no point did I feel like I
was hanging around getting bored. I felt safe the whole time, discipline
was brilliant.
By the end of the day I felt very confident, was going around much quicker
and my brain is still grinning!!
Well done for providing such a super experience and I will definitely be
coming again.
Many thanks.

Hi Martin
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you - life's been a bit hectic lately.
Having never ridden a motorbike before in my life I hit the dreaded 40 and decided that I had to do something special to mark the occasion - so why not learn to ride a bike (Chartered Accountant at mid life crisis - what else can you do?)
Took and passed my DAS test .... bought a second hand CBR600 .... Did about 10,000 miles in my first 10 months,
After 10 months ... CBR ... too small for my 6 foot, 14 stone frame ... mate was selling his firestorm so i bought that from him ...... still average 8 - 10,000 miles a year, ... now do a lot more touring. Whilst I absolutely love my firestorm, the 120 mile tank range is doing my head in and the poor old thing has now done 25,000 miles - I am seriously thinking about swapping it for a BMW R1150GS - all the attributes of the VTR, just slightly poorer for my annual track day. I've had 2 track days, 2001 at Snetterton (called "track day virgins day") and your Sept 02 day at Cadwell - quite frankly the two did not compare - at Snetterton, there was no training, I found myself slower than 80% of the others ... With your "track day" it was a completely different matter - the format of having the instructor with us all morning gave me the confidence to ride quicker almost from the first session - I was worried that you had put me in the top third, and as a result made sure that I put myself in the slowest section of that group - as it happened, that was the thinking of most of our little group and in actual fact, the training was so good that by the second session we were all riding close and smooth and catching the "faster" groups - I didn't get my knee down but I think that was because I was riding smoothly and didn't feel the need to hang off - for the first time ever I wore the rear tyre right to the edge and even scraped my fairing round the hairpin (hero blobs not replaced since the accident) - I still feel sorry for everyone I saw in the paddock who had to see the scraped fairing and hear me bleat on about it! Your format is in my opinion the most perfect way for most people to get the best out of a track day - in the first 2 sessions at Cadwell I was as confident and quick (and safe) as I was at the end of the whole day at Snetterton. May sound corny but it really worked for me!

Dear Martin
Just a quick email to say how much I enjoyed my first visit to HRT, which could very easily be mistaken for Hormone Replacement Therapy!
I thought the organisation was first-class and all your staff & instructors were really helpful. In particular please thank Chris for his tuition & encouragement.
I'll be back!

From Wey Valley Advanced Motorcyclists May 26th 2004
Hi Martin, just a quick note to say thank you for another very successful
Cadwell event yesterday.  Superb fun, and good education:
"I've done California Superbikes, and Rapid training - and I got more out
of today than both them." - Simon Hans (Senior Observer).
"Ace day yesterday! - I got a lot from the day and it was my second time
with Hopp - surprising!" - Quentin Reynolds (Group Observer).
"Superb day - I've booked next months already" - Frank Ojo (Senior
Observer).
"I wish I hadn't drunk so much Guinness, Red Wine and Bottled beer the
night before!" - Yours truly (will I ever learn!)
I did blot my copy book on the last lap of the last session and was ticked
off by Crispin for an overtake that I maybe shouldn't have done - but even
that is an educational experience and gives pause for reflection.
Many thanks and see you soon.
Regards
Alan

Martin,
You just reminded me that I needed to get back to you and thank you for the
Great Day out I had at Cadwell Park 30th September 2003.
The training was fantastic, the staff were all very friendly and encouraging
and I always felt safe.
It was truly exhilarating to get on a real track and have some expert
tuition.
Please find attached my photo of the day for your gallery.
Shame you can't see the big, beaming smile under my lid!
Kind Regards,
Steve Rostron.

Just a short email to say what an excellent day I had at Cadwell last Tuesday. Having done California Superbike School level 1, I can honestly say I got a hell of a lot more out of your day and come away with a much better understanding of my strengths and weaknesses than I did after the day at Rockingham. I will definitely be up for at least one day with you early next year, and hopefully many more after that. I spoke to your briefly at the end and as I said then it would be great if you did other tracks as well (especially ones close to London) but that said Cadwell is a great track.
Good stuff.

| Hi,
I found the day a fantastic experience. I was a bit apprehensive prior to the day as I had no track experience and have only been on a bike a couple of years. The emphasis on safety and the support of the instructors was really excellent. Building up from a slow start getting used to the track was really a good confidence builder.
Having heard of other track days which sound like a bit of a free for all I was keen to get started with the WVAM as I thought it would be better run. This was exactly what I was hoping for.
I would certainly be keen to do another. Do you run similar days elsewhere ?
Thanks for a great day.

A very good, enjoyable day.
Must admit I had some reservations about what the day would be like as I've done a few 'normal' track days and really enjoyed them and I thought that your day might be a little 'reserved'. It was great for this to be disproved! I can't fault the way you organise it… ……..whilst your day still had 'drills' to do in the morning, the instructors also ensured that the sessions were tailored to the individual's needs and any questions were answered to their best ability, and the way you alternate the instructors between sessions ensures that your customers get a full briefing and debrief with plenty of time for questions and answers.
The overtaking system works really well - I thought it might have hindered progress when it was explained at the lunchtime briefing but it's a slick way of keeping things safe and moving.
I definitely want to do another Hopprider day so please let me know when you confirm your dates for 2004 (any circuit in case you're thinking of branching out!).
Please pass my thanks on to the 2 excellent instructors - Jon and Andy.

| Hi Martin,
I'd just like to express my thanks to you, and your instructors for an
amazing day at Cadwell. My second time there with you - the first was back
in June, when I was surprised how enjoyable it was considering it poured
down all day.
I had managed to convince my friend to join us for the August day. He wasn't
sure he'd enjoy it - thoughts of exotic bikes screamin' past him on the
straights - it didn't help when we met up with the rest of the guys for the
journey up to Lincoln, with their Ducati's and RSV's! With the journey over
we settled in for a few pints and bike chat. Next morning we're on track!
Two sessions later, Jason's grinning like a Cheshire cat, by the end of the
day you couldn't shut him up, really impressed with the way the event is
organised and the quality of instruction - I think he was most pleased that
you can have more enjoyment as a quicker, smoother rider on a slower bike!
I'm sure I'm not the first to ask, but if there's any chance of being
included on a standby list for September I'd be very grateful, as would my
"first timer" buddy Jason. I think the rest of our group, John Edwards, H
and Chris have already been in touch hoping for the same. Do I just send
you the forms and keep everything crossed?
Thanks again, hope to see you soon!

I had such a good time yesterday with you and the guys from Hopp Rider
Training that I thought that I might try and see if you have any places
for the next session as above. I suspect that I may have to go on the
reserve list as previously.
I know that John Edwards and possibly 3 others from our group of 7 may
also be looking to comeback again if numbers permit. I have assumed
that I can use the previously sent form and just change the date on the
top and send a cheque for the usual amount - it will be in the post
tonight to you!
Thanks for a great day....I know that the others who were 'first timers'
really enjoyed themselves as well and will comeback. The guys said that
the events are well run and I think that they probably didn't do you all
justice.

Martin,
Thanks to you and your team for an excellent day! My first time on the track in three years (last/only one was an open track-day at Donington), what a world of difference in atmosphere and organisation. I can’t think that the day could have been run any better. I was quite happy that I had the opportunity to tackle the track at my own (slowly improving) pace through the day, had great fun and only a couple of anxious moments (losses of confidence rather than control I’m pleased to say).
The other ELAM people who were there (nine of us in all – 10% of the turnout?) all had a great time. We’ll be publicising heavily within our group to hopefully bring even more next time. Would have had more on this one but David Woolveridge had stacked his R100RS at the ‘Ring (broken wrist too, ouch) and Julie Pickard was awaiting a new rectifier for her VFR400. John Yates left his licence at home, silly Billy, but I understand he got a ride once DVLA verified his status.
Being an “S” owner I also managed to cross the lines and buzz around with the Boxertrix boys (except that beast in the fast group), which was good fun – nice to meet them at last.
I picked up a few interesting comments during the day. One fellow told me that the pace of the day (Group B) was noticeably faster than at a recent open track-day he’d been on (this wasn’t a complaint!). Another had been on a RiDE Magazine Rider Skills Day, and said their day was more expensive, yet gave only a half-day on track, with less instructor input and inferior organisation.
As to what’s next – for my own purposes I’d be happy to spend more time getting to grips with Cadwell – wonderful and challenging piece of tarmac. My memories of Donington were that the speeds were higher (Melbourne Loop was closed that day), so I wonder if it would be less suitable for novices due to the intimidation factor. I’d be happy to sign up to any of the ideas listed in your email though. With your days selling out so far in advance, do you plan to ramp up the number of them per season?
Looking forward to hearing what your plans are, certainly I’ll be there! Regards –
Simon.

Hi
Would just like to say how much I enjoyed the training day. I'm still babbling about it incessantly with a stupid fixed grin over my face!
Please extend my thanks to all the other instructors, helpers and marshals for the best days riding I've ever had.
Simply the most fun you can have with your trousers on!
Could you please let me know when you are taking bookings for next year, so I can do it all over again.
Regards,

Martin and Richard,
quick note to say what a tremendous day it was yesterday. I was on the GS who turned up with alloy panniers and got a lot of jokes and 'who ordered a pizza' type lines. Some were in my group and couldn't shake off an old mans BMW on any of the bends and had to hammer it up Park Straight to get any sort of gap.
It taught me an immense amount about the bike ( parts of the tyres were used i thought were only for show) and more importantly about myself.
Can you put my name down for all next years sessions (or any more this year) at Cadwell.
Brilliant day, fantastic atmosphere, excellent instruction......the list goes on.

Martin,
Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed yesterday's Better Riding Day
at Cadwell Park.
Although I am unable to compare the day against 'normal' track days, I was
impressed with how the day was structured, with emphasis on safety, better
riding, enjoyment, enjoying other people's company and most importantly
learning (starting to!) Cadwell and making progress.
Without going into superlatives, I found the day superb and learned/honed a
number of skills.
You were correct in placing me in the Red group.
I shall be recommending your Better Riding Days to my friends and
colleagues. Please keep me posted on your plans for 2003.
Lastly, please thank all the instructor's from both myself and others, they
helped in making yesterday a perfect day.
Regards,
Mark I Grainger

Just a quick email to say thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable day
yesterday. Must admit that I was a little apprehensive as it was my first
time on a circuit, but thanks to the instructors I soon started to relax.
Wish I'd done this years ago!

I tried to catch you before but missed so, Many thanks for a very well
organised, informative, safe & FUN day. I thought it went extremely well
with only one 'off' and it looks like he got away with very light damage.
I hope you are going to organise more of the same, if so put me down for
all of them!!
Please convey my thanks to all the instructors who work very hard (but seem
to have just as much if not more fun than us).
Hope to see you soon

Thanks for an absolutely suburb day at Cadwell. Following Richard and the
other instructors round the track was a fantastic learning experience, I'm
glad I had 145 bhp to use on the straights otherwise I wouldn't have seen
much of them.
Dad said you had a problem with your eye, I hope it's nothing serious and
gets sorted soon.
Thanks again and make sure you put me down for next year.

Many thanks for another enjoyable better riding day. I ache, need a new front tyre, but feel that I have learned more yet again.

Yo Martin Just to say thank you to you and your team for an excellent day, well organised and good fun. I would be interested in going on one of the Nurburgring trips. Please let me have details when you have them organised next.Tim

Hi Mart & Rich
All the Trixters (8 + one new addition ) had a great day out. We look forward to the next one.
I would definitely be interested in 3 or 4 track days a year.
Getting to understand Cadwell after 2 of your days there - it's a great circuit for the R1100S - but would be happy to try others provided Cadwell still featured in the schedule.
See you next time.
Cheers
